Matt Cota, the founder of Meadow Hill, is a former journalist and media arts teacher with a master’s degree in public policy and more than 15 years of experience managing non-profit organizations. Elected to the South Burlington City Council in 2021, Cota chairs the operations committee of the Green Mountain Transit Authority and is the former Chair of the South Burlington Development Review Board. As the founding director of the Split the Ticket Fund, Cota has organized the delivery more than 100,000 gallons of free heating fuel to Vermont's neighbors in need. Cota created Meadow Hill in 2022 to provide management and advocacy assistance to Vermont non-profit trade associations foused on energy, transportation and economic development.
