Vermont's ZEV Regulations
The Vermont Low and Zero Emission Vehicle Regulation is in effect.
This requires vehicles manufacturers to sell an increasing amount of zero-emission vehicles into Vermont. The rules say that 35% of vehicles delivered to Vermont must be zero vehicles (ZEVs) and plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEVs) by 2026. This number increases to 100% by 2035.

Medium and heavy duty trucks have a similar mandate but with a longer timeline. According to the Vermont Advanced Clean Truck regulation, half of all new Class 4-8 trucks sold in Vermont must have zero emissions by the end of the decade. See what trucks have to be zero emission when here.
